5 reasons to book a Solo session to Celebrate a personal milestone
Life moves fast, and we’re at that stage where we all feel it. It seems like time ticks faster with every year. Maybe it's because we start to appreciate time more than we used to. I certainly notice a shift in how I see time now. Maybe that’s my 36 years of life experience talking, but I know you feel me too.
We rush through weeks, tick off to-do lists, show up for others, and carry so much (sometimes without pause). Very often without pause, actually. And it’s okay to admit that. Been there, done that! Maybe you love your work so much that you don’t prioritise breaks (let alone a proper lunch). Somewhere between work, commitments, and simply holding it all together, we forget to stop. To reflect. To celebrate. One day you look up and realise you’ve changed, grown, survived, evolved... but never really marked it.
We tell ourselves we’ll celebrate when things slow down. But that moment rarely comes on its own. And in the meantime, milestones pass quietly, achievements go unrecognised, and even our own womanhood is left unexplored in the blur of everyday life.
A solo session is one way to reclaim that pause. To create a space where you get to see yourself again. I’m passionate about showing women their soft side, their femininity, gain confidence, be out of their comfort zone (as nobody is born comfortable being in front of the camera) and helping them reconnect with themselves emotionally. That’s why I created a unique spirit-led portrait experience especially for women called HER INNER LIGHT.
Here’s why you might want to celebrate Yourself with a personal photoshoot:
1. You’re not the same woman You were a year ago
We change not only on birthdays when we blow out candles, but even small moments in everyday life can shift something in us. These experiences and milestones remind us how far we’ve come. A solo session creates space to honour that shift and by that, I mean the emotional, internal work that got you here, not the title on your CV.
2. You deserve to be seen without waiting for a “reason”
We often wait for someone else to validate our worth. I’ve gasped for recognition many times (work, family, hubby). A solo session flips that narrative. You don’t need a partner, a group, or a big event to feel worthy of beautiful photos. The session itself becomes the celebration. And don’t tell me that being YOU isn’t an excellent reason.
3. It becomes a visual marker of Your Journey
Photos have a way of grounding us in memory. The photos we create together will aim to capture your unique energy. Your appearance will only be part of the story. Years from now, you’ll look back and remember how strong, vulnerable, free, and proud you were.
4. It’s a space just for You
In my sessions, you’re allowed to take up space exactly as you are. It can feel quiet and reflective, or playful and bold. Whatever you need in that moment, we follow it. It will also boost a confidence in you.
5. You’re creating something that lasts
A solo session is about giving yourself the gift of intention. You’ll walk away with images that reflect your strength, softness, growth, and truth. It’s a form of self-respect that lingers long after the camera clicks.
If this speaks to you, let it be your sign to pause and celebrate. You don’t need to wait for the perfect time. The right time might be NOW.
