A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Irena, originally from Latvia and an Aucklander for the past six years. 

Before settling here, my husband and I spent six years traveling the world—living out of backpacks, fuelled by curiosity. Our journey taught me that connection is universal, and everyone holds stories worth being seen. When it came time to choose a place to call home, New Zealand called us back.

This country draws me in with its wild beaches and openness—both the land and its people. You'll usually find me near the ocean, in my garden, or hiking through the bush. I love clean, organic food, ceremonial cacao, and deep conversations that continue long after the sun sets.

The Why

A lot changed for me when I began exploring Human Design. I learned that I'm a Projector—wired to see people deeply, to notice the subtleties in energy, the micro-expressions, the moments when something changes. That's why one-on-one sessions are where my gifts shine.

Working with women is my ikigai, my reason for doing what I do. I've navigated my own struggles with self-perception and belonging, so I understand how transformative a mindset shift can be. Helping women reconnect with their confidence and view themselves with more compassion while they handle their business—that lights me up every time I pick up my camera.

The How

At my North Shore studio, I guide gently and create a calm space where you can leave your to-do list at the door, let your guard down and just be.

My sessions aren't rushed or rigid. I adapt to how you're feeling because your comfort matters more than any shot list. For me, photography is presence. It’s about creating a little space in your day to breathe and reconnect with yourself.

The portraits are keepsakes you'll return to again and again, but the real transformation happens when you realise you're already enough.
