Your portrait session will be around 2 hours, held outdoors in natural light. We’ll move with the environment and your energy, so comfort is the key.

To help keep the focus on your expression and presence, here’s a simple styling guide:

  1. Clothing

Keep it simple. Plain tops work best. Stick to black and white as it help the light and contrast do their magic.

    • Avoid patterns or graphics: These can draw attention away from you.

    • Tops: one plain top in white and second in black (t-shirt, blouse, or tank) whatever feels most you and allows you to move freely.

    • Bottoms: Stick with black pants or trousers. These won’t show much, but they help keep the look clean and timeless.

2. Hair and Makeup

  • Hair: Freshly washed and natural is best. No need for excess styling unless it feels important to you.

  • Makeup: Since the eyes often will be a focal point in these portraits, a light touch of mascara can bring subtle definition if you're comfortable with it. But overall nothing much is required unless you want it. If you are planning on removing facial hair that is bothering you (eyebrows, lip), please do the removal minimum 2 days in advance to avoid puffiness and irritation.

  • Manicure: Hands often feature in the frame, so please come with clean, well-kept nails. Neutral polish or bare is ideal.

  • Pedicure: No need to worry too much as your feet won’t be in the shot unless it is your favourite body part. Then we will capture few shots.

3. Jewellery

No jewellery is preferred to keep the image distraction-free.

  • However, if there’s a piece with personal meaning, you’re welcome to wear it. We’ll make sure it fits the mood and message of your portrait.

Before the Session

  • Rest Well: Aim for a good night's sleep to feel refreshed and present.

  • Mindful Eating: Have a light, nourishing meal before the session to maintain energy without discomfort.

  • Avoid New Skincare Products: Stick to your usual routine to prevent unexpected reactions.

  • Avoid alcohol for a few days before the session and prioritise good sleep - this helps reduce puffiness and tiredness in the face.

What to Bring

  • Water and Snacks: Stay hydrated and energised, especially if our session involves movement or beach locations.

  • Comfortable Footwear: Bring easy-to-slip-on shoes for walking between spots. Very possible we will go barefoot during the shoot.

  • Personal Items: If there's something meaningful you'd like to include: a scarf, a book, a keepsake, feel free to bring it along.

After the Session

  • Image Reveal Video Call
About a week later, we’ll jump on a relaxed video call. I’ll show you a gallery of preselected images, and we’ll choose your favourites together. This part is often emotional in the best way.

  • Personalised Soul Report
Alongside your portraits, you’ll receive a curated mini Soul Report based on your Human Design chart. This includes a short overview of your energy type and a few intuitive reflections tailored just for you.

  • Final Delivery
You’ll get your 10 hand-edited portraits delivered digitally, and a printed postcard featuring one of your images with a little reminder of who you are, something you can hold onto when the noise of the world creeps back in.

If you'd like, I will do full skin retouching to gently remove blemishes, dark circles, or other skin imperfections. My goal is to honour your natural beauty refined and elevated like a piece of art! And I want you to LOVE and FEEL the photos!

Weather and water

Sessions take place outdoors at the beach, so please check the forecast and dress in layers if needed. Especially in winter.

  • We may explore areas near water, so bring a towel and change of clothes just in case you get wet (we will discuss this prior the session).
