Guide for your Mother’s Day studio mini session

Oneroa, Waiheke

Styling Tips for Your Session

To keep the images timeless and focused on you and your kids, I recommend keeping styling simple and cohesive.

Colours
Stick to neutral tones. Colours like cream, browns, beige, black ad white work beautifully with the lights I use.

Patterns and graphics
Please avoid patterns, logos, or busy graphics, as they draw attention away from you and your connection with your child.

Clothing style
Choose timeless, simple outfits. Less is more. Jeans with a white or black top works beautifully, and matching outfits can look especially sweet.

Shoes
These sessions are barefoot only. You are welcome to bring shoes for arrival and leave them to the side during the session.

Hair and makeup
Come styled in a way that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Natural or more defined makeup both photograph beautifully. I have a mirror in the studio for any last-minute checks or touch-ups.

Outfit preparation
Please ensure all outfits are clean and wrinkle-free. I do not retouch stains, lint, or creases. If extensive retouching is requested, an additional fee will apply to cover editing time.

I designed these studio mini sessions to celebrate Mother’s Day and to give mums a chance to be in the frame with their children. No more quick and blurry selfies on your phone. These are photographs you will want to print, frame, and keep close.

About the session

The session will be short and sweet, lasting around 20 minutes, as I know children’s attention spans can be wonderfully brief.

After your session within 2-3 weeks you will receive a selection of the best images in a private online gallery. From there, you can choose your favourite 10 images to download in high resolution. You will also have the option to order professional prints directly from your gallery for added convenience.

If you would like to purchase additional images, extra digital files are available for $10 each, or you can upgrade to the full gallery download for $100.

My studio location: 93 Queens drive, Oneroa, Waiheke Island.

How to get here: If coming from the Auckland city: take a ferry from downtown city or Devonport to Matiatia ferry terminal. From Matiatia wharf jump on a 502 bus (heading to Rocky Bay). Get out at Hauraki Road stop (it will be 12-15min drive) and walk 2 min back. If coming by car, please leave your car on the street as there is very limited parking by the studio. On the bus simply use your ATHop card or bank card for payment.

I offer only 4 sessions per day so I can give each of you my best energy (I am pregnant so don’t want to stretch myself thin on the day :). I have allowed a little buffer time between sessions in case someone is running late, but please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your booked time slot and only come inside once invited to make sure no one feels disturbed.

See the images below for the style I will be creating during these sessions.
