Guide for Your Studio MINI Session
Waiheke
Styling Tips for Your Session
To keep the images timeless, I recommend keeping styling simple but cohesive.
Colours
Stick to neutral tones. Colours like cream, browns, beige, black ad white work beautifully with the lights I use.
Patterns and graphics
Please avoid patterns, logos, or busy graphics, as they draw attention away from you and often can look tacky.
Clothing style
Choose timeless, simple outfits but not overly casual. Remember - these photos are meant for framing. Less is more, but try not to match outfits completely, something that looks complimentary together (think cohesive colour palette according to season if you wish).
Shoes
These sessions are barefoot only. You are welcome to bring shoes for arrival and leave them to the side during the session.
Hair and makeup
Come styled in a way that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Natural or more defined makeup both photograph beautifully. I have a mirror in the studio for any last-minute checks or touch-ups.
Outfit preparation
Please ensure all outfits are clean and wrinkle-free. I do not retouch stains, lint, or creases. If extensive retouching is requested, an additional fee will apply to cover editing time.
These studio minis are quick 20-minute sessions with a stress-free approach for busy people. Sometimes you don’t need an extensive photoshoot to capture the love and connection you share, so these sessions give you the chance to have photographs you’ll want to print, frame, and keep close. Perfect for maternity, families, or simply capturing your child’s milestones.
My studio location: 93 Queens drive, Oneroa, Waiheke Island.
How to get here: If coming from the Auckland city: take a ferry from downtown city or Devonport to Matiatia ferry terminal. From Matiatia wharf jump on a 502 bus (heading to Rocky Bay). Get out at Hauraki Road stop (it will be 12-15min drive) and walk 1 min back. If coming by car during evening, please leave your car on the street as there is very limited parking by the studio. For daytime sessions you are welcome to drive in. On the bus simply use your ATHop card or bank card for payment.
If you or your children are feeling unwell, please don’t attend the session! Please be considerate that I am pregnant and want to avoid any health risks. Simply text me on 020 401 79041, and we’ll arrange another time that works for both of us.
See you at your Mini!
